02Syncing & freshness

Banks set the timing. Pending charges may arrive quickly, then change when the bank settles them.

New transactions flow in automatically — usually within minutes to a few hours of a charge, depending on how quickly your bank reports it.

03Fixing a connection that needs repair

Repair refreshes the existing connection. It does not erase your history or create a second bank.

Your bank may occasionally ask you to sign in again, especially after a password change. When that happens the bank's card shows a needs repair notice.

  1. Open the Me tab and tap Linked accounts.
  2. Tap Repair on the affected bank.
  3. Sign in again on the bank-linking screen. Your history and settings stay intact.

Repairing never duplicates your data — it refreshes the existing connection rather than creating a new one.

04Adding accounts at a bank you've already linked

Use Add accounts on the existing bank card instead of linking the bank again.

Opened a new card or account at a bank that's already connected? Don't link the bank again — tap Add accounts on that bank's card in Linked accounts, and pick the new accounts on the bank-linking screen. Bablo pulls their history automatically.

05How Bablo does the math

Home shows what’s left to spend. The forecast estimates what will remain at month end. Cash ahead projects whether your combined cash can cover upcoming bills.

What’s left on Home

Tap the number to open How we got this. It shows the income or cash used, what’s set aside, and what you’ve spent. Cash already reflects purchases; they aren’t deducted twice.

When the month’s money runs out, Bridge helps you set a spending line through payday.

The month-end forecast

What’s left now, minus spending still ahead:

Tap the forecast to review those estimates and adjust charges you don’t expect. A prediction estimates spending; a cap sets your limit. The forecast with caps shows what could be left if you keep them. Changing a category cap leaves its before-cap prediction and other categories unchanged. Home, Coach, and Cash ahead use the same conditional result; overlapping merchant and category caps never count savings twice.

Cash ahead

Your projected bank balance by date, including paydays, bills, and expected spending. Tap or drag across the chart to check a day. Money can be left for the month while a bill arrives before your paycheck.

Something looks wrong?

Open the number’s breakdown and check the accounts, income, and bills. Refunds reduce spending; credit-card payments and transfers between your own accounts don’t count as new purchases. For help, use Me → Contact us.

06Editing transactions

Correct one charge, fix similar charges, or keep a transaction visible without letting it affect totals.

07Security

Bablo's connection can read balances and transactions. It cannot move, hold, or spend your money.

Details about how your data is protected, kept, and deleted live in the Privacy Policy.

08Deleting your data

Unlink one bank or delete the whole Bablo account — those are separate actions.

Unlinking a bank (Linked accounts → bank card → Unlink) disconnects it from Bablo and removes that bank's accounts and transactions. Your other linked banks and their history are untouched.

To delete your entire account — connections, transactions, goals, profile — open the Me tab and tap Delete account. It's immediate and permanent: your data is erased and Bablo disconnects from your bank. Prefer we handle it? Email hello@babloapp.com from the address on your account and we'll process it for you.

09Billing & cancelling

Apple manages payment, cancellation, and refunds. Cancelling a membership does not delete your Bablo data.

Bablo is free during the beta. There's nothing to cancel and no card on file. What's below is how it works once paid plans are live.

Who charges you

Apple does. Subscriptions are bought through the App Store, so Apple takes the payment, holds your card details, and issues any refunds — we never see your card. The purchase screen shows the price, billing period, and length of any free trial before you confirm. See Terms §10 for the formal wording.

How to cancel

Cancelling happens in Apple's settings, not in Bablo:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
  3. Tap Bablo, then Cancel Subscription.

Cancel before a free trial ends and you won't be charged. Cancel after that and you keep full access until the end of the period you've already paid for. Apple decides exactly when a cancellation takes effect, so it's worth not leaving a trial to its final hours.

Refunds

Request a refund directly from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong on our side, email hello@babloapp.com. We cannot issue the refund, but we can help explain what happened.

What happens when your subscription ends

Your data stays, and you can still see it. Bablo doesn't lock you out or delete your history. Every screen still opens and everything you've built — transactions, goals, categories, notes — is still there to read. What changes:

If you subscribe again and reconnect your banks, your saved history is still there.

Cancelling is not deleting

They're separate on purpose. Cancelling stops the billing and leaves your data readable. If you want it gone, that's Me → Delete account, which stays reachable whether or not you're subscribed — see Deleting your data.
